Bananas
For easy reference we have included Musa and friends under this heading. Bananas are one of the easiest and fastest plants to grow for an immediate big bold tropical effect. They work well in large containers or planted right in the ground. All bananas prefer a sunny location in fertile, rich, moisture retentive soil, they are best planted in a protected area so the leaves don’t get tattered in the wind. Easily over winter them by storing the root ball or the entire pseudostem in a cool, dark place.
