AECHEMEA
bracteata

One of our favorite Bromeliads…. “Teata” can be rather imposing and occasionally threatening with its coarse texture and saw-like spines (but that’s why we love it!) A large growing Bromeliad having a classic urn shape and matte-green, 4” wide by 2+’ long leaves. In good light it will sometimes get a yellowish stripe down the center of the leaf or be washed in red. “Teata” will produce a large flower spike up to 3 – 4’ long with red bracts terminating in a structurally interesting flower, followed by a plethora of black berries.
