ABOUT US Landcraft Environments Ltd. was started in 1982 as a design/build landscape firm. At that time we were very interested in using unusual and exotic plant material in our designs. A large part of our operation was installing seasonal color; annual plantings, spring bulbs, fall and winter holiday plantings. The problem was that we could rarely find plants for these installations that were more exciting then the common run of the mill annuals. We started growing plants from seed for our clients as well as for our own gardens. Then the epiphany struck. This growing thing seems to be more fun and a better life style than designing and installing gardens. So in 1992 the move was made and the gentleman's farm was purchased. We started with one 30 x 100 ft. greenhouse and have increased in size every year since. Now with over an acre of greenhouse space and additional outdoor growing areas, we supply hundreds of thousands of plants to garden centers, landscape designers, botanical gardens and public parks throughout the Northeast. We grow tropicals, tender perennials and unusual annuals as well as a few fairly common annuals. All the plants we grow thrive in our hot, humid summers and many perform well into the autumn months. These tender plants add an incredible amount of diversity to the garden pallet. Many of our selections have multiple qualities, grown not just for their blossoms alone, but also for their ability to add structure, foliage color and interesting textures to container plantings and garden beds. Most of our plant material is for spring and early summer sales and depending on the variety is ready anywhere from late April to early June, we also have a selection of beautiful containers made up in fiber pots available in June as well. We grow a full line of fall plants available from mid September up until November. Besides the regular pansies and kale we grow some unusual varieties of these items as well. We also offer a wide selection of interesting, long lasting cool season tender perennials and some autumn performing hardy perennials too. Fiber pots planted up with autumnal themes are available in 3 different sizes. We have seen a tremendous increase in gardening with tender, exotic and tropical plants, we are in the forefront of this gardening trend and introduce new plants every year. We are constantly growing and evaluating new cultivars from all over the world and adding them to our listing. Our web site is an important tool for gathering information and getting design ideas, we hope you enjoy it. Thank you for your continued patronage, support, and enthusiasm.
