As its name would suggest, this Lavender is indeed extraordinary -primarily for its purple blooms, which provide an exceptionally fragrant addition to both border plantings and containers, alike. Blooms in late spring and summer, atop a cluster of dusty-green foliage (spreads to ~24"). Lavandula is also notable for both its cold hardiness (to Zone 4) and heat tolerance. Grows to a height of 24-36" Great for fresh and dried cut-flower arrangements. Plant in a sunny location in well-draining soil.
