Angelica sylvestris, part of the carrot family and Native to Europe and parts of Asia can be found growing in meadows and along riverbanks. A. ‘Vicar’s Mead’ grows 4-6’. with distinctive dark bronze / purple stems and fern-like foliage topped in summer by oversized umbels that start out deep purple then as they mature and expand turn a beautiful pale pink.
